We both became interested in the sciences at an early age and individually, our formal education stories are similar: following graduation from Ontario universities, we spread our wings, traveled south of the border and attended dental school and postgraduate school in the United States. Shortly after retuning to Canada, we combined our creative energies and founded Wilk & Wilk Orthodontics in 1997. This only seemed natural since we have always shared the same goals and values. From the very beginning, we have tackled challenges side-by-side with an amazing group of people and have enjoyed working with patient families to provide orthodontic solutions that made the most sense to them. Over the years, we have worked hard to earn the trust and respect of our patients, patient families, and professional colleagues. 18 years, 18 staff members, and lots of beautiful smiles later, we have now expanded the Wilk & Wilk footprint to Oakville and our Cambridge office has grown by word of mouth referrals into a 14-chair facility.
From our humble beginnings, we have worked hard to get where we are, but we’re not about to rest on our laurels. Although we treat an ever-widening circle of patients, our core focus on providing our patients with the best treatment continues unchanged. The future is bright at Wilk & Wilk and we are really excited to be reconnecting with former patients who are now bringing their children to us for their orthodontic treatment. In consideration of the care our patients have entrusted us with, we would simply like to say:
Drs. Brian and Kevin Wilk completed their Doctorate of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degrees at Tufts University, Boston in 1993 and 1994, respectively. Dr. Brian continued with two years of specialty training in Orthodontics in Boston and was awarded a specialty Certificate of Proficiency in Orthodontics (Cert. Ortho.) in 1995. Dr. Kevin, however, relocated to the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he completed his two years of specialty training. He was awarded a specialty Certificate of Proficiency in Orthodontics (Cert. Ortho.) in 1996. Later, both Doctors successfully passed the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Canada examinations thereby earning the distinction of being “Fellows” of the Royal College (FRCD(C)).
Drs. Brian and Kevin are active members of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, The Ontario Association of Orthodontists, the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Canada, and the Toronto Orthodontic Study Club and remain proficient in the latest innovations of orthodontic theory and technique by attending numerous continuing education courses throughout the year. Drs. Brian and Kevin also enjoy sharing their orthodontic experience by regularly providing continuing education seminars to the dental community.
Once we joined forces, we merged our different specialty backgrounds and collaborated to develop a face-driven esthetic orthodontic practice that focuses on every aspect of the orthodontic patient experience. We have always taken great pride in our strong family roots and firmly believe that our success comes from our philosophy of building trust and maintaining an unwavering commitment to excellence for our patient families.Back
